{"id":638,"date":"2026-06-09T00:05:13","date_gmt":"2026-06-08T22:05:13","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/certyfikatpolski.pl\/?page_id=638"},"modified":"2026-06-09T00:05:13","modified_gmt":"2026-06-08T22:05:13","slug":"legal-basis","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/certyfikatpolski.pl\/en\/wydawanie-certyfikatu-bez-egzaminu\/podstawa-prawna\/","title":{"rendered":"Legal basis"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In accordance with the provisions of the Act of 7 October 1999 on the Polish Language (Journal of Laws of 2026, item 81, as amended), in force from 9 June 2026, persons meeting specific conditions may receive a certificate confirming their knowledge of Polish without taking an examination. These conditions are specified in Article 11a (4):<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A foreigner or Polish citizen permanently residing abroad who:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"1\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>obtained the degree of doctor on the basis of a doctoral dissertation written and defended in the Polish language in a higher education institution or an entity operating in the higher education and science system of the Republic of Poland, or<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>graduated:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>a) studies conducted in Polish at a higher education institution operating within the higher education and science system of the Republic of Poland, or<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>b) a post-secondary school, a post-basic school referred to in Article 18(1)(2)(a), (b) or (e) of the Act of 14 December 2016 \u2013 Educational Law (Journal of Laws of 2025, item 1043, 1160 and 1837), or an artistic school providing general education in the scope of a general secondary school, operating within the Polish education system, and possesses a maturity certificate, or<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>c) the school referred to in Article 8(5)(1)(a) or (2)(c) of the Act of 14 December 2016 \u2013 Educational Law, at the level of a general secondary school, or<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>d) a school operating within the education system of another country conducting teaching of the Polish language and other subjects in Polish, and having a secondary education, or<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>da) a school operating within the education system of another country that provides teaching of the Polish language and other subjects in Polish, has a secondary education and a certificate equivalent to the maturity certificate referred to in Article 44zzl(4) of the Act of 7 September 1991 on the Education System (Journal of Laws of 2025, items 881 and 1019, and of 2026, items 203 and 319), taking into account the result of the Polish language examination, or<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>e) a European School operating under the Convention on the Statute of the European Schools, done at Luxembourg on 21 June 1994 (Journal of Laws of 2005, Nos 10 and 11) and holds the EB (European Baccalaureate) diploma referred to in Article 93(1)(3) of the Act of 7 September 1991 on the Education System (Journal of Laws of 2025, Nos 881 and 1019), taking into account the result of the examination in Polish as a mother tongue, or<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>f) a form of education conducted by a foreign-registered social organisation or another foreign entity, where Polish language or other subjects in Polish are taught abroad, and the person has been learning the Polish language or other subjects in Polish for at least 11 years<br><br>- may, upon request, receive a certificate without having to pass an examination.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Zgodnie z przepisami Ustawy z dnia 7 pa\u017adziernika 1999 r. o j\u0119zyku polskim (Dz.U.2026 r. poz. 81 z p\u00f3\u017an. zm.)&nbsp;obowi\u0105zuj\u0105cymi od 9 czerwca 2026 r. osoby spe\u0142niaj\u0105ce okre\u015blone warunki mog\u0105 otrzyma\u0107 certyfikat po\u015bwiadczaj\u0105cy znajomo\u015b\u0107 j\u0119zyka polskiego bez zdawania egzaminu.
