{"id":638,"date":"2019-11-29T05:37:48","date_gmt":"2019-11-29T04:37:48","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/certyfikatpolski.pl\/?page_id=638"},"modified":"2025-07-01T00:00:03","modified_gmt":"2025-06-30T22:00:03","slug":"legal-basis","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/certyfikatpolski.pl\/en\/wydawanie-certyfikatu-bez-egzaminu\/podstawa-prawna\/","title":{"rendered":"Legal basis"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Pursuant to the provisions of the Polish Language Act of 7 October 1999 (Dz.U.2024.1556 t.j. of 2024.10.21), in force since 1 July 2025, persons meeting certain conditions may obtain a certificate attesting their knowledge of the Polish language without passing an examination.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These conditions are laid down in Article 11a(4):<br>A foreigner or Polish citizen permanently residing abroad who:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"1\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>obtained the degree of doctor on the basis of a doctoral dissertation written and defended in the Polish language in a higher education institution or an entity operating in the higher education and science system of the Republic of Poland, or<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>graduated:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>a degree programme taught in the Polish language in a higher education institution operating within the higher education and science system of the Republic of Poland, or<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>a post-secondary school, a post-primary school referred to in Article 18(1)(2)(a), (b) or (e) of the Act of 14 December 2016. - Education Law (Journal of Laws of 2024, item 737, as amended), or an art school providing general education in the field of general secondary education, operating in the educational system of the Republic of Poland, and holds a secondary school certificate, or<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>a school referred to in Article 8(5)(1)(a) or (2)(c) of the Act of 14 December 2016. - Education Law (Journal of Laws of 2024, item 737 and 854), at the general secondary school level, or<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>a school within the educational system of another country providing instruction in Polish and other subjects in Polish, and has completed secondary education, or<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>a European School acting on the basis of the Convention on the Statute of the European Schools drawn up in Luxembourg on 21 June 1994 (Journal of Laws of 2005, No. 10 and 11) and holds an EB (European Baccalaureate) diploma referred to in Article 93, section 1, item 3 of the Act of 7 September 1991 on the Educational System (Journal of Laws of 2024, No. 750, 854 and 1473), taking into account the result of the examination in Polish as the mother tongue, or<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>a form of education administered by a social organisation registered abroad or by another foreign entity in which the Polish language or other subjects in the Polish language are taught abroad and has been taught the Polish language or other subjects in the Polish language for at least 11 years<br>- may obtain, on application, a certificate without having to pass an examination.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Pursuant to the provisions of the Polish Language Act of 7 October 1999 (Dz.U.2024.1556 t.j. of 2024.10.21), in force since 1 July 2025, persons fulfilling certain conditions may obtain a certificate attesting their knowledge of the Polish language without passing an examination.
