RECRUITMENT OF CANDIDATES FOR EXAMINERS ENTITLED TO ACT AS CHAIRPERSONS OF EXAMINATION BOARDS APPOINTED BY AN ENTITY ENTITLED TO ORGANISE EXAMINATIONS IN POLISH AS A FOREIGN LANGUAGE
Pursuant to Article 11f and Article 11k(1)(4) and Article 11k(2) of the Act of 7 October 1999 on the Polish language (Journal of Laws of 2021, item 672, as amended)
State Commission for the Certification of Proficiency in Polish as a Foreign Language
announces the recruitment of
TRAINING FOR CANDIDATES FOR EXAMINERS ENTITLED TO ACT AS CHAIRMAN OF THE EXAMINATION BOARD
The training will take place on 23-24 November and 30 November 2024 in a remote format. Exam will be carried out in stationary form on 14 December this year in Warsaw.
Recruitment the training will take place by means of online registration - the platform will open on 23 October at 10.00 a.m. and will appear below the content of this notice. Registration will last until 3 November this year at 23.59 or until stocks last.
In the registration form, you will need to provide data such as your name, professional/academic title, correspondence address, e-mail, telephone number, university name, field of study (including postgraduate studies if any) and a description of your professional experience meeting the requirements set out in Article 11f of the Polish Language Act of 7 October 1999 (Journal of Laws 2021, item 672, as amended).
NB: candidates do not attach attach attachments to the form.
Participation in the training is free of charge. Travel, food and accommodation costs are covered by participants.
On acceptance and referral of candidates for training will be decided by the State Commission on the basis of the order of applications and the formal assessment of the application. Interested parties will be notified by email of the outcome of the call once it has been completed, i.e. on 15 November. Successful candidates will be invited to a training course. The number of places is limited (50 candidates will be accepted).
The scope of the training covers theoretical issues related to the application of legislation, ethical and quality standards in the assessment process, as well as practical issues related to the construction and conduct of the examination and standardisation of assessment. A prerequisite for the completion of the training is the attendance at all classes and a positive assessment in both parts of the examination (the part testing the correct correction and assessment of the tests and the part testing the knowledge of the regulations related to the examination process and the chairperson's handling of so-called difficult situations).
On completion of the training course, candidates who have successfully passed the examination shall complete a Application for inclusion in the list of examiners entitled to act as chairperson of an examination board, which is annexed to the Regulation of the Minister of Science and Higher Education of 11 December 2015 on the State Commission for the Certification of Proficiency in Polish as a Foreign Language (Journal of Laws of 2015, item 2288).
Legal basis: Article 11f of the Act of 7 October 1999 on the Polish language (Journal of Laws of 2021, item 672, as amended).
(1) The Board shall maintain a list of examiners entitled to act as chairman of the examination board.
(2) The Commission shall enter the list referred to in paragraph (1) on the application of a person who:
(1) holds a university degree in Polish philology with specialisation in teaching Polish as a foreign language, evidence of a second degree qualification or equivalent or a higher education diploma in Polish philology or neophilology, attesting the attainment of a second-cycle qualification, or equivalent, and completed post-graduate studies in the field of teaching Polish as a foreign language,
(2) has at least three years' experience in teaching Polish as a foreign language obtained in over a period of five years prior to the date of application,
3) was not convicted a final judgment for an intentional crime or an intentional fiscal crime,
4) has completed the training for candidate examiners.
