Regulation of the Minister of Science and Higher Education of 26 February 2016 on examinations in Polish as a foreign language

Article 12. (2) The applicant may not bring into the room, where the examination takes place, auxiliary materials and devices for transmitting, receiving or recording information.

  1. Before the examination begins, the chairman of the examination board verify the identity of persons intending to take the examination and shall inform those persons of:
    1. the planned conduct of the examination;
    2. the obligation for the passer to report any deficiencies found in the examination sheet;
    3. the consequences of violating the prohibitions referred to in paragraph 2 and § 13 point 1;
    4. the consequences of disrupting the examination.

Article 13. During the examination:

(1) the passer cannot communicate with each other;

(2) members of the examination board are not allowed to comment on examination tasks or give explanations about examination tasks.

Article 16. 1. at the end of the time allowed for the module concerned in the written part of the examination:

(1) the chairman of the examination board announces the end of that module;

(2) members of the examination board collect the examination papers from the examinees;

(3) The chairperson of the examination board shall order a break of at least ten minutes and inform the candidates of the starting time of the next module of the written part of the examination;

4) the examinees leave the examination room.

  1. In justified cases, the chairperson of the examination board may allow the examinee to leave the examination room during a given module of the written part of the examination, after ensuring conditions that prevent the examinee from having contact with other people.
  2. A candidate who has finished solving the tasks before the end of the time allocated for the module in the written part of the examination will hand in the examination paper to one of the examination board members and leave the examination room.
  3. The candidate may notify the chairperson of the examination board of his/her resignation from the examination. Information about the resignation shall be included on the examination sheet, which shall be attached to the examination dossier.

Article 18. 1. the chairman of the examination board may interrupt or suspend the examination in the event of:

1) disruption of the examination by a member of the examination board,

2) the occurrence of an unforeseen event - if it may affect the proper conduct of the examination.

  1. If the examination is suspended for the reasons referred to in paragraph 1, the chairperson of the examination board may decide to continue the examination after the reasons have ceased to exist.

Article 19. The chairman of the examination board shall interrupt and invalidates the examination for the candidate in the case of:

(1) that the examinee brings into the examination room supporting materials and devices for the transmission, reception or recording of information;

2) the communication of the passer with other passers;

3) the examinee interfering with the examination.

Practical tips

  • Passers are required to report for the examination punctually in accordance with the announced timetable.
  • At the appointed time, passers enter the room one at a time, according to the order on the list.
  • Each passer is required to carry a photo ID and present it at the entrance to the hall.
  • During the examination, the examinee:
    • behave quietly and culturally;
    • cannot communicate with each other
    • do not use concealer;
    • do not write in pencil;
    • do not leave the examination room or their seats;
    • do not make loud remarks or comments;
  • Passers sign and complete the tests in the space provided.
