TRAINING FOR CANDIDATES FOR EXAMINERS AUTHORISED TO ACT AS CHAIRPERSONS OF EXAMINATION BOARDS APPOINTED BY AN ENTITY AUTHORISED TO ORGANISE EXAMINATIONS IN POLISH AS A FOREIGN LANGUAGE
Pursuant to Article 11f and Article 11k(1)(4) and Article 11k(2) of the Act of 7 October 1999 on the Polish language (Journal of Laws of 2024, item 1556)
The training will take place on 10/11 January, 24/25 January and 7/8 February 2026 in a remote format. Exam will be carried out in stationary form on 21 February 2026 in Warsaw.
Recruitment the training will take place via online registration - the platform will open on 20 November at 10.00 a.m. and will appear below the content of this notice. Registration will last until 27 November this year at 23.59 or until stocks last.
The registration form should include data such as: name and surname, professional/academic title, correspondence address, e-mail, telephone number, name of university, field of study (including postgraduate studies, if the candidate has completed such studies) and description of professional experience in accordance with the requirements set out in Article 11f of the Act of 7 October 1999 on the Polish Language (Journal of Laws of 2024, item 1556).
NOTES: Applicants shall not attach attachments to the form.
Participation in the training is free of charge. Travel, food and accommodation costs are covered by participants.
On acceptance and referral of candidates for training is decided by the State Commission for the Attestation of Knowledge of the IU on the basis of the order of application and the formal assessment of the application. Interested parties will be notified by e-mail of the outcome of the call once it has been completed, i.e. on 15 December this year.. Successful candidates will be invited to a training course. The number of places is limited (50 candidates will be accepted).
The scope of the training covers theoretical issues related to the application of legislation, ethical and quality standards in the assessment process, as well as practical issues related to the construction and conduct of the examination and standardisation of assessment. A prerequisite for the completion of the training is the attendance at all classes and a positive assessment in all parts of the examination (the part testing the correct correction and assessment of written papers and the assessment of oral statements) and the part testing the knowledge of the regulations related to the examination process, as well as the chairperson's ability to solve so-called difficult situations.
On completion of the training course, candidates who have successfully passed the examination shall complete a Application for inclusion in the list of examiners entitled to act as chairperson of an examination board, which is annexed to the Regulation of the Minister of Science and Higher Education of 11 December 2015 on the State Commission for the Certification of Proficiency in Polish as a Foreign Language (Journal of Laws of 2015, item 2288).

Art. 11f of the Act of 7 October 1999 on the Polish Language

- The Board maintains a list of examiners entitled to act as chairman of the examination board.
- The Commission shall enter the list referred to in paragraph 1. upon application by a person who:
- has a higher education diploma in Polish philology with specialisation in teaching Polish as a foreign language certifying second-cycle qualifications or equivalent, or a higher education diploma in Polish philology or neophilology certifying second-cycle qualifications or equivalent and post-graduate studies in teaching Polish as a foreign language,
- has at least three years' experience in teaching Polish as a foreign language within five years before the date of application,
- has not been convicted of an intentional crime or an intentional fiscal offence by a judgment which has the force of res judicata,
- has completed training for examiner candidates.
