The declaration of a state of epidemic in connection with the spread of COVID 19 has caused enormous administrative difficulties that make it impossible to organise certificate examinations in Polish as a foreign language. Acting on the basis of Article 11k(1)(5) of the Polish Language Act of 7 October 1999 (Journal of Laws of 2019, item 1480), the State Commission for the Certification of Proficiency in Polish as a Foreign Language has decided to cancel the examination session on 6-7 June 2020. The Commission has also decided to change the levels for the October examination in Polish as a foreign language. The exam, scheduled for 17-18 October 2020, will be held at levels: B1, B2, C1 and C2 in the group adapted for adults, and B1 and B2 in the group adapted for children and young people.
