On the basis of Article 11f Polish Language Act of 7 October 1999. (Journal of Laws 2021, item 672) The State Commission for the Certification of Proficiency in Polish as a Foreign Language announces recruitment for a training course for candidates for examiners authorised to act as chairpersons of examination boards. The training is addressed to candidates working in centres authorised to organise certificate examinations in Polish as a foreign language or cooperating with such centres, who have participated in at least 2 examination sessions as members of a commission. Priority will be given to candidates from foreign centres.
The training will take place on 11-12 September i 18-19 September 2021. in remote and/or hybrid form (depending on the epidemiological situation).
Interested persons are kindly requested to send until 30 June 2021. the application form, copies of documents confirming the required education and copies of documents confirming experience in teaching Polish as a foreign language and participation in at least 2 certificate examinations as a member of a commission to the following address certyfikacja@nawa.gov.pl.
The acceptance and referral of candidates for training will be decided by the State Commission on the basis of an analysis of the submitted documentation. Interested parties will be notified by e-mail of the outcome of the call for applications once it has been completed. Successful candidates will be invited to attend the training course.
The number of places is limited. The order of applications is decisive. From each centre 2 people can apply (others will be placed on a reserve list).
The scope of the training will include theoretical issues related to the application of legislation, ethical and quality standards in the assessment process, as well as practical issues related to the construction and conduct of the examination and standardisation of assessment. Completion of the training course requires attendance at all classes and a passing grade in both parts of the examination (the part that tests correctness and the part that tests knowledge of the regulations relating to the examination process).
On completion of the training, candidates shall complete Application for inclusion in the list of examiners entitled to act as chairperson of an examination board, which is annexed to the Regulation of the Minister of Science and Higher Education of 11 December 2015 on the State Commission for the Certification of Proficiency in Polish as a Foreign Language.

- The Board maintains a list of examiners entitled to act as chairman of the examination board.
- The Commission shall enter the list referred to in paragraph 1. upon application by a person who:
(1) holds a university degree in Polish philology with specialisation in teaching Polish as a foreign language, evidence of a second degree qualification or equivalent or a higher education diploma in Polish philology or neophilology, attesting the attainment of a second-cycle qualification, or equivalent, and completed post-graduate studies in the field of teaching Polish as a foreign language,
(2) has at least three years' experience in teaching Polish as a foreign language obtained in over a period of five years prior to the date of application,
3) no was convicted a final judgment for an intentional crime or an intentional fiscal crime,
4) has completed the training for candidate examiners.
